The Street Fighter producer made the announcement on Twitter. In his tweet, Ono also touched on this year’s Capcom Pro Tour, which has been shifted online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Which, naturally, faced criticisms of its own, due to the nature of fighting games in general, and the way online lag aversely affects the experience.

These range from Street Fighter Alpha 3 to Devil May Cry. He would then move up to be the producer of games like Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams in 2006, before becoming the producer of Street Fighter IV.
