From the video, it is confirmed that the phone will be carrying Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 SoC. Other stand-out features include wireless charging and the new triple-camera setup for its main camera. The imaging module is said to be a combination of a 48MP, 12MP, and 3D Time-of-Flight (TOF) sensor. One of the sensors is also hinted to be a wide-angle lens. Not much else was shown in the video, apart from the transparent glass back as well as a presumably plastic piece showing the Qualcomm Snapdragon branding as well as the Mi 9 name. Interestingly on the same plastic cover, phrases such as “Super MI”, “MI Fans” and the Battle Angel branding.
With the launch event happening on 20 February, the Mi 9: Battle Angel edition is expected to launch alongside the standard models. No official prices have been shared, but it is rumoured to be set at CNY5,999 (~RM 3,618). Hopefully, this model will be heading to our shores as well. (Source: Miaopai (Chinese) via GSMArena)
