Specifically, Xiaomi has confirmed that it will release the new Mi 11 Lite in our market on 6 April. While it may look almost identical to the flagship Mi 11 model that has been made available in Malaysia earlier this month, the new phone has more modest hardware as well as a lower price tag.
Equipped with a 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED display that also has a 90Hz refresh rate, the Mi 11 Lite is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G processor. In Malaysia, the phone will be made available with just one memory and internal storage option for the time being which is 8GB of RAM and 128GB, respectively. In terms of photography, the Mi 11 Lite relies on its 64MP main camera which is being accompanied by an 8MP ultra wide-angle and a 5MP telemacros camera. On the top left part of its screen, there is also a 16MP punch-hole selfie camera. Just like its higher-end siblings, the Mi 11 Lite is also a Hi-Res Audio certified device and comes packed with dual audio speakers. In addition to a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, completing its general hardware specifications is a 4250mAh battery that supports up to 33W fast charger which has also been included alongside the phone inside the box. In terms of pricing, the Mi 11 Lite will be made available in Malaysia for RM 1,199. To celebrate its launch, Xiaomi will be providing a special set of Xiaomi ecosystem products for the first 500 customers that purchase the new phone from these 20 participating retailers. The set is certainly quite attractive since it is packed with Mi Ionic Hair Dryer, Mi True Wireless Earbuds Basic 2, and Mi Watch Lite. However, with only 25 sets that will be made available at each retailer, we surely hope that the launch day will not become a battleground. As for the Mi 11 Lite 5G which is equipped with a more powerful processor in the form of a Snapdragon 780G, it will be released in Malaysia as well. Unfortunately, the local launch date will only be announced by Xiaomi at a later time. (Source: Xiaomi Malaysia / Facebook, Xiaomi Global.)
