Microsoft has also noted that Windows 11 Home users must have a Microsoft account and need to connect their machine to the Internet when they first run the operating system. It is quite obvious that the minimum requirements of Windows 11 are more specific and much higher than Windows 10 which we have listed below:

As noted in our previous report, Windows 10 users will be able to upgrade to Windows 11 for free but only if their machines meet the operating system’s minimum hardware requirements. Microsoft has since released a tool called PC Health Check [direct download link] that users can use to determine if their current Windows 10 machine is able to support Windows 11.

However, Windows 11 will only be made available to the general public towards the end of 2021. Likewise, the free upgrade for Windows 10 users will kick off at the same time as well although the exact timing could be different from one PC to another. (Source: Microsoft – [1][2].)
