For context, the current WD Blue SSD lineup only lists a maximum storage configuration of 2TB, while the lowest configuration is capped at 250GB. The lineup uses a TLC 3D NAND flash, along with a Marvell 88SS1074 controller. Speed-wise, you’re looking at a sequential read and write speed of up to 560MB/s and 532MB/s, respectively. As you would expect, owning an SSD with a 4TB storage capacity isn’t going to be cheap. The German site – known as Geizhals – lists down the component’s retail price between US$614 (~RM2568) and US$644 (~RM2663).

At the time of writing, it is unknown when WD Malaysia will be bringing in the 4TB WD Blue SSD, or even if it has any intention to do so. (Source: Geizhals via AnandTech, TechSpot)
