There’s an enormous amount of pressure on director JJ Abrams’ shoulders, who not only has to make a great film, not only has to tie up all nine films but also provide a fitting finale that unites all three generations of Star Wars fans. It’s a daunting task, especially since The Last Jedi — whether you love the film or not — drove a wedge through the Star Wars fandom.
