Leon Foong, CEO of SOCAR Malaysia stated that the car-sharing service is always looking at new and different ways to offer users the convenience of using their cars. He said that the partnership was due to Petronas’ popularity and wide area of coverage within the aforementioned regions in Malaysia. With the new zones covered by these fuel stations, SOCAR empowers its users by offering them the choice and convenience of their app. The newly-introduced locations include Petronas stations situated in Mutiara Damansara, NPE Pantai Dalam, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Jalan Maarof, Johor Jaya, and Sunway BKE. Those interested to use the car-sharing services are required to access the SOCAR app and book a car of choice. SOCAR rentals are as low as RM12.90 per hour, with car models ranging from MPVs, hatchbacks, sedans, and SUVs.
According to SOCAR’s press release, the car-sharing service also recently expanded its fleet to over 2000 cars in 26 different models, as well as covering over 1000 different locations across Klang Valley, Johor in Penang.
