To start, main character Ryu gets a pretty basic watch in white, with red and black highlights on its rim. The rim itself also looks pre-worn, reflecting the ragged look that the character himself is frequently seen in. This particular model comes with a fabric strap.
Then there’s the model representing Ken. This model is mostly in red, as is the character’s usual colour, with some black thrown into the mix. The edges of the bezel is gold, and there are some gold lines on the watch face as well to reflect his Street Fighter V design. Again, the strap here is a fabric one. On a more subjective note, it’s arguably the second best in terms of looks.
In terms of looks, the best one in my opinion goes to Chun Li. It’s blue with silver highlights, which is a lot more subdued and classy that the other two. The strap also looks like leather, which matches the overall aesthetic.
Next in line is Guile, and Seiko has given his watch a military aesthetic, befitting his status as a US Air Force officer. It comes in mostly brown, with leather straps, a black rim and camouflage watch face. There’s even a US Air Force insignia in place of the number 6 on the watch face.
Blanka’s watch is green overall, which fits his overall aesthetic. It’s got electricity patterns on its rim to match its ability to match his electric shock attacks. The watch face also comes with a swirly pattern to represent his rolling attacks. This one also comes with fabric straps.
And finally, there’s Zangief, which is quite the odd one out. On its own, it looks good, with a gold-ish rim, red watch face, and a mostly yellow fabric strap with red highlights. But it does look a lot like the Spanish flag, which would bring another character to mind rather than the Russian Zangief.
These Street Fighter V special edition Seiko watches are set to be released on 26 September, with a price of JPY51700 (~RM2041). No news if they will be made available outside of Japan yet though. these are also limited in number, with 9999 of each being produced. (Source: PR Times via SoraNews24)
