Just like what the company did for Snapdragon 855+ last year, the enhancements that Qualcomm has implemented on Snapdragon 865+ are mainly for its CPU and GPU. Specifically, the chip’s Kyro 585 CPU now runs at a maximum clock speed of 3.1GHz which is 10% more than the Snapdragon 865. Similarly, the Adreno 650 GPU in the Snapdragon 865+ has also received a performance boost of up to 10%. The new chip has also been designed to be compatible with the FastConnect 6900 network SoC that provides the support for Wi-Fi 6E which is also fondly known by some as the 6GHz Wi-Fi. Right off the bat, ASUS and Lenovo have confirmed that the Snapdragon 865+ will be powering their upcoming releases, the ROG Phone 3 and Legion Gaming Phone. Given this confirmation, it seems likely that both devices will be heading to the market very soon.
