For those who have not heard of Overcooked, it’s a co-op game based around the kitchen. Supporting local co-op for up to four players, you’ll have to prep and cook a series of dishes according to the whims of your customers. As you progress to later stages, hurdles and hazards are placed in the stage to complicate things. Sometimes the stage itself serve as its own hurdle, as sometimes your kitchen is split between moving platforms, for instance. Despite the simple-sounding premise, there’s a lot to do, and demands near-perfect coordination among players. Those that don’t may experience some friendship-ending rage.
At any rate, this looks to be the game that replaces ARK: Survival Evolved as the free game until 11 June. Coincidentally, the game’s devs at Studio Wildcard said something about “rescheduling the ARK in-game celebration until Thursday, 11 June”. It may not have anything to do with it being free on the Epic Games Store, but those who want it instead of Overcooked may have that to look forward to. (Source: Epic Games Store, Studio Wildcard)
