The rumours comes by way of prominent leakster, Kopite7kimi (@kopite7kimi), who tweeted that Ada Lovelace will be coming out “a little bit earlier”. They don’t into specifics, but their follow-up tweet was that NVIDIA could let the cat out of the bag on the successor to Ampere in the early parts of Q3 2022. It should be made clear that the July launch window is merely speculation at this point and to that end, there is a distinct possibility that NVIDIA could announce the RTX 40 Series lineup in August as well. Regardless of the month, one point is certain: those launch periods are still well ahead of the initial September and October windows the GPU maker typically uses for any grand launch and announcement.

— kopite7kimi (@kopite7kimi) May 15, 2022 On another related note, there is also a chance that we could all receive some news about Ada Lovelace during this year’s Computex; one of the key speakers for NVIDIA is Jeff Fisher, the Senior Vice President of GeForce, although it goes without saying that any major announcement for new products will be made by Jen-Hsun himself. As to what NVIDIA could launch first in respect to the new RTX 40 Series, the brand may stick to its status quo and launch its higher-end SKUs first, followed by a trickling of its mid-range and entry-level models over the following years.

On that note, initial reports and rumours about Ada Lovelace’s AD102 have pointed towards the GPU being an absolute beast, with a base TDP of 600W and up to 18432 CUDA cores and 96MB of L2 Cache. Making it more of a monster than the current king-of-the-hill, the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti. Once again, there has been no official word from NVIDIA on this, so always, the usual consumption of salt is advised. (Source: PCGamer, Tom’s Hardware)
