Fully imported from South Korea, only one variant of the EV6 is made available in Malaysia which is the GT-Line AWD. Equipped with a 239kw dual-motor all-wheel drivetrain and 20-inch alloy wheels, the SUV has a combined output of 320hp (~324.4 PS) and maximum combined torque of 605Nm alongside a top speed of 185km/h. [Image: Kia Seri Kembangan / Facebook.]The EV6 is powered by a 77.4kWh battery which allows it to travel up to 506km according to the WLTP standard. Equipped with a Type 2 port for AC charging alongside a CCS2 port for DC charging, it would take around 7 hours 20 minutes to go from 10% to 100% when using an 11kw AC charger The charging duration can be significantly reduced to 73 minutes by using a 50kW DC charger. It can actually support DC chargers with a power rating as high as 350kW which could boost the charging speed from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes. The Vehicle-2-Load adapter is attached to the charging port of this EV6 which was on display at its Malaysian launch event. While we are still on the topic, the EV6 also comes standard with a 3.6kWh Vehicle-2-Load adapter that allows users to power external devices using the car’s battery juice. Meanwhile, the EV6 also has a panoramic curved display cluster which consisted of a 12.3-inch screen for its infotainment system and another 12.3-inch screen that is dedicated to the car’s instruments. Together with the support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the SUV has also been equipped with a 14-speaker sound system by Meridian, a 15W Qi wireless charger, four USB-C ports, and two 12V power sockets.
