In an interview with ComicBook.com, Uslan first talked about the oversaturation of superhero films. Later, the long-time Batman producer claimed that this Joker movie will be unlike any comic book film that has come before, even comparing it to the crime masterpieces of Martin Scorsese. Martin Scorsese is actually one of the producers of the film, but it’s unclear as of now as to how much involvement Scorsese actually had in the creative process of Joker. Whatever the case, the trailer for the Todd Philips-directed film is absolutely phenomenal. If the film lives up to its potential, this could be one of those comic book movies that generate a lot of buzz during awards season as well. Joker will be laughing its way into theatres this 3 October 2019.
