The collection itself is divided into several families although if you want products that were co-created by IKEA and ROG, then you have to look for those that are under the Uppspel banner. As for Gruppspel, Huvudspelare, Lånespelare, Matchspel, and Utespelare, products released under their name are purely IKEA creations although the company claimed that they are still based on the insights that it has gained from working with ROG.
In addition to that, the IKEA Gaming furniture range also includes the previously released Fredde gaming desks. However, several products such as Matchspel gaming table, Gruppspel gaming chair and Uppspel pegboard are still not available in Malaysia for the time being though. While this might be up for debate, the centrepiece of the IKEA Gaming collection to us would be the Uppspel gaming desk. Equipped with a motorised frame, it has a height range of 73 to 120cm and users can save up to four settings.
It also comes with a built-in USB port for charging alongside a cable management tray, matte desk surface, and ROG-like motif on its legs. The Uppspel gaming desk with a 180cm tabletop can be obtained for RM2,499 while the 140 cm version costs RM2,299. For those who are looking for gaming chairs, IKEA Malaysia is currently offering three of them under the Huvudspelare, Utespelare, and Matchspel series. Price-wise, you can get your hands on them for RM299, RM499, and RM699, respectively.
The IKEA Gaming range also includes several gaming accessories such as a headset stand, mouse bungee and mouse pad. The collection even includes a hybrid cushion and blanket as well as a mug holder, and ring light-phone holder combo. To mark the occasion, IKEA Malaysia has even come out with a special menu for its bistro which comes in the form of the Charcoal Chicken Sausage and Caramel Soft Serve. The time-limited hot dog and ice cream have gained plenty of attention from netizens who were mainly amused with their all-black nature.
The IKEA Gaming products can be obtained at all IKEA branches throughout Malaysia starting from today onwards while those who prefer to purchase them online will have to wait until 14 November though.
