The new Y7a features a 6.67-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a top centered punch-hole cutout. Powering the handset is a Kirin 710A octa-core SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM and an internal storage capacity of 128GB (expandable up to 512GB via MicroSD). The smartphone is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery that promises up to 16 hours of use, and also includes 22.5W fast charging support through USB-C.
As with other Huawei handsets, the new device runs on the latest version of the company’s EMUI out of the box, which is based on Android 10. In addition to this, app purchases and downloads are handled by the Huawei AppGallery distribution platform.
As for photography, the Y7a offers a quad rear camera setup consisting of a 48MP main, 8MP ultra-wide angle, 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. Housed in the front display’s cutout is a 8MP selfie camera.
The new Huawei Y7a is offered in three colour variations: Crush Green, Blush Gold, and Midnight Black. The phone will hit store shelves nationwide starting 30 October, and is priced at RM799. (Source: Huawei Malaysia [Official website])
