Unlike the company’s Sound X Wireless Speaker, the FreeGo sports a flat cylindrical design – which amusingly looks like an autonomous robotic vacuum cleaner at first glance. Jokes aside, the device offers a 360-degree sound diffusion of up to 3 meters and features dual speakers. The diaphragm within its body is made of aluminium alloy, which is capable of producing powerful bass.
Other than that, the FreeGo features a built-in microphone that provides echo-suppression as well as one-touch support for wireless and audio transmissions. Huawei Share is also supported via NFC connectivity for fast tethering. Lastly, the wireless speaker is claimed to last up to 2 hours on a full charge, and its battery can be topped up from nought to hundred percent in just 15 minutes via fast charging.
Huawei aims to have the new FreeGo Portable Bluetooth Speaker to launch in China this July. However, the company has not revealed its pricing or global availability just yet. (Source: Huawei via Mydrivers)
