The standard and 5G version of the Nova 6 is equipped with a 6.57-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with an oval punch-hole in the top left consisting of two front cameras. Rather than having it placed in its display, you can find the fingerprint scanner as part of the phone’s power button which is located on its right. Powering both phones is the Kirin 990 flagship chipset, which is paired with Huawei Balong 5000 5G modem on the 5G variant of the Nova 6. The phones come with 8GB RAM, a choice of either 128 or 256GB of internal storage, and runs on Android 10 with EMUI 10.
As mentioned before, the main Nova 6 series sports a triple-camera setup which consists of a 40MP main camera, 8MP telephoto with OIS, and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. In the oval punch-hole on the phone’s display is a dual front camera setup which includes a 32MP main and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The midrange Nova 6 SE’s display is a 6.4-inch FHD+ LCD panel with a circular punch-hole cutout. Like its other Nova 6 siblings, the SE also has a fingerprint scanner installed on its right power button. The midranger features a Kirin 810 chipset, paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB Storage, and also runs on Android 10 with EMUI 10. Unlike the main Nova 6 models, the SE variant is equipped with quad-camera setup consisting of a 48MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide, 2MP depth, and 2MP macro. On its front is a single 16MP selfie camera. Both main Nova 6 models differ in battery capacity where the standard one is packed with a 4100mAh, while the 5G variant has a 4200mAh. The Nova 6 SE, on the other hand, also is equipped with a 4200mAh battery. All three variants comes standard with Huawei’s 40W SuperCharge support.
Official sales for the Huawei Nova 6 series is scheduled for December 12, while pre-orders are now live in China. The standard Nova 6 is retailing at CNY3199 (~RM1890), while the 5G variant is priced at CNY3799 (~RM2246) for the 8/128GB configuration and CNY4199 (~RM2482) for 8/256GB, and lastly the Nova 6 SE comes in at CNY 2199 (~RM1300).
