Originally launched in May 2020, some may consider the MateBook 13 i7 as an “ageing” model since it is already more than one year old. Furthermore, the Core i7-10510U processor that was equipped with the laptop was recently discontinued by Intel.
Nevertheless, the processor still has more than enough firepower for typical productivity work which is something that the MateBook is made for. Other than that, the laptop also comes standard with NVIDIA GeForce MX250, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB PCIe-based solid state drive together with a 13-inch Quad HD touch display and a fingerprint reader that has been integrated directly into its power butoon. Other than that, the 1.3kg laptop is also equipped with a 41.7Whr battery that Huawei said can deliver up to 11.6 hours of local 1080p video playback. Accompanied by a 65W USB-C charger, the 2020 MateBook 13 i7 also has a quick charge feature that allows users to gain around 2.3 hours of usage time with just 15 minutes of charging.
Normally priced at RM 4,999, it will be offered at RM 3,999 specially for Huawei Super Brand Day on 21 July.
