Specs-wise, the MatePad Pro 5G is equipped with a Kirin 990 5G SoC, 8GB RAM, and two internal storage capacities: 256GB and 512GB. On the surface, the tablet’s display measures in at 10.8-inch and has a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. It also features a punch-hole selfie camera at one of the corners.
Other details about the display include it having a 90% screen-to-body ratio and bezels that are just 4.9mm thick. Powering it all up is a massive 7250mAh non-removable battery. The MatePad Pro 5G also have Huawei’s SuperCharge fast-charging technology built into it, enabling it to conduct 40W wired charging and 27W wireless charging. On that note, the tablet is also capable of performing reverse wireless charging.
Alas, like the Mate 30 series and Mate Xs, the MatePad Pro 5G runs on Huawei Mobile Services (HMS), so you can stop asking if the tablet is the rare exception that gets Google Mobile Services (GMS). At the time of writing, Huawei didn’t provide a specific launch date for the MatePad Pro 5G. However, it did mention the pricing for the tablet’s two variants: the model with 256GB will retail for 799 Euros (~RM3666), while 512GB variant will cost 949 Euros (~RM4354).
As for the non-5G MatePad Pro, the pricing for the tablet start from 549 Euros (~RM2518) for the 6GB+128GB non-LTE variant, while the version with LTE support starts from 599 Euros (~RM2748). The tablets will also be available globally from April 2020 onwards.
