In many ways, the new model is not far off from the first-gen MagicBook that HONOR launched in Malaysia earlier this year. Based on HONOR’s official global website, the MagicBook 14 still carries the AMD Ryzen 5 3500U processor instead of the newer AMD Ryzen 4000 series. Similarly, the MagicBook 14 is also equipped with a 14-inch Full HD display with 8GB DDR4 dual-channel RAM and up to 512GB PCIe NVMe solid state drive. HONOR has also retained the integrated fingerprint sensor on the laptop’s power button from the older model. There is one sure way you can easily differentiate the upcoming MagicBook 14 and the existing MagicBook: their webcam. Specifically, the newer model comes with a pop-up camera while the camera on the current first-gen model is located on the top of its display.
Additionally, the MagicBook 14 also features a blue outline and logo on its lid. Given that the first-gen MagicBook was launched in Malaysia for RM 2299, we shall see if HONOR managed to maintain such price tag for the new model since their hardware specs are quite identical.
