With this, Maps users will be provided with information on how far the set landmark is from them and directions they should use to reach a specific destination.

Already available, on the other hand, is the ability for users to use Live View while using transit directions and have a walking portion of their journey lead them to a destination of their choice. Apart from just walking to receive directions, users can also receive directions for trips that include different modes of transportation such as driving, biking or transit as well.

As for Landmarks, while the company is slowly implementing the feature on Google Maps for all users around the world, Kuala Lumpur has already been mentioned in their list of countries which will be receiving this feature soon. So, do keep a lookout for this update on Android and iOS devices in the coming weeks if you are an active user of Google Maps. (Source: Google Blog)
