Among such improvements is the implementation of new shortcut keys to enable the Braille support on Docs, Sheets and Slides. On Windows, the shortcut keys are Ctrl+Alt+H while for Mac users, they can similarly perform the same action by pressing CMD+Option+H.
Aside from that, the company also stated that it has improved the navigation reliability for long documents and lists. Google has also updated the navigational shortcuts so that users can now hear the location of the cursor as well as comments, headings, misspellings and suggestions. Additionally, grammar errors alongside misspellings and images can now be verbalised directly by users’ choice of assistive technologies. Not to forget, the verbalisations for navigations and content selections on tables have also been tweaked by Google for the better. At the moment, the updated Braille support is being delivered gradually to users under the Rapid Release track. The full rollout will only begin starting from 17 September onwards. (Source: Google.)
