Out of seven, five have been confirmed for release in Malaysia and two of them have made their way to local retailers including the Radeon RX 6800 Gaming OC and Radeon RX 6800 XT Gaming OC. Despite the differences in terms of their GPU chip, both of these graphics cards feature almost the same Windforce 3X cooling system.
While both cards are equipped with the same three 80mm cooling fans, the RX 6800 Gaming OC has five copper heat pipes as opposed to its RX 6800 XT counterpart which has six such pipes. Additionally, GIGABYTE has positioned those heat pipes directly on the GPU chip for the RX 6800 model but choose to utilise a combination of heat pipes and large copper plates instead of cooling down the GPU on RX 6800 XT. According to GIGABYTE, the RX 6800 Gaming OC has been tuned to run at slightly higher clock speed than AMD’s reference design at 1925MHz for game clock and its boost clock can go up to 2155MHz. Similarly, the RX 6800 XT Gaming OC’s game and boost clocks are tuned to 2045MHz and 2285MHz, respectively.
For those who prefer to get their hands on AORUS Radeon RX 6800 Series cards instead, GIGABYTE Malaysia’s rep informed us that the AORUS Radeon RX 6800 Master, Radeon RX 6800 XT Master, and Radeon RX 6800 XT Master Type C will also be released in Malaysia soon. However, the exact release date has yet to be confirmed. In terms of pricing, the GIGABYTE RX 6800 Gaming OC can be obtained for RM 3399 while the GIGABYTE RX 6800 XT Gaming OC goes for RM 3899. The price tag for the AORUS Radeon RX 6800 Series cards will only be announced once their Malaysian release date has been confirmed by the company. (Images: AORUS Malaysia.
