One user has shared on Reddit such an experience, as well as the game crashing following the Alt-Tab keyboard shortcut. A number of other users have chimed in, saying that it affects both the Steam and Windows Store version of the game. Some have suggested using Discord Canary, which is the version of the app where new features are tested. In other words, a beta version. Another solution is a convoluted process involving another streaming software, OBS. Which is somewhat ironic since on the Forza Horizon 5 support page, both Discord and OBS are listed as software known to crash the game. Other software include Xsplit, Logitech G Hub and MSI Afterburner. Though for the streaming software, Windows does mention setting your source to display capture. For now, then, it looks like Forza Horizon 5 is a pretty game that’s for your eyes only. Perhaps one day Microsoft will fix this with a patch. The game releases today, but its Premium Edition became available on 5 November. (Source: Microsoft, Reddit [1], [2] via PC Gamer. Image: Steam)
