Just like in the April 2019 edition of the report, Celcom and Maxis once again managed to be the top telco in the segments that were listed by Opensignal. However, you would notice that things have changed a little bit once you take a closer look at the report. For example, Celcom has managed to take over Maxis’ position when it comes to latency experience and is now a clear winner for video experience instead of sharing the position with its close competitor. On another hand, Maxis is now the leader in terms of Upload Speed Experience instead of Celcom although the latter remained as the champion of 4G availability.
Meanwhile, the biggest surprise comes in the form of unifi Mobile who has managed to beat everyone else in the Voice App Experience segment. This is the first time that this particular segment appeared in Opensignal report which refers to the quality of that consumer’s experience when they utilized the voice feature inside apps such as WhatsApp, Skype, and Facebook Messenger.
