On Twitter, Capcom said that “we’ve all seen things we weren’t supposed to see”, but appreciates the positive reactions nevertheless. With that in mind, we should expect to see more of what the leaks portrayed, but in an official capacity in due time.

— Street Fighter (@StreetFighter) June 4, 2022 In case you missed it, you can still take a look at the images, as it looks like Capcom has not taken any steps to get them taken down. New characters notwithstanding, some of the returning characters are getting a much more significant redesign than others for their SF6 outing. Juri Han and Rashid, among others, look to have minimal changes to their overall design language. On the other hand, characters like Ken and Cammy look to have been given a pretty significant shuffle in their fashion sense. If you’re not a fan of some of the new designs for some of the characters, not all hope is lost. In a separate leak that came in video form, it looks like the characters will come with their classic outfits as alternate costumes. At the very least, this looks to be the case for Cammy.

— Knoebel (@Knoebelbroet) June 3, 2022 With only a vague release window of 2023, there’s plenty of time for Capcom to slowly release more info on Street Fighter 6. While the character roster leak may have spoiled some of the fun for a number of fans, there’s so much more important information that the publisher has yet to release. Key among them include the new Drive system which looks to be an enhancement of the EX meter system that has been with the series for the longest time.
