ASUS claimed that the Zephyrus M16 is the first gaming laptop in the world that features super-narrow bezels on all four sides of its display which is a fairly specific claim. The slim bezels allow the laptop to have a 94% screen-to-body ratio. Aside from that, the 16-inch display on the Zephyrus M16 is also equipped with an IPS panel that has a 165Hz refresh rate and 3ms response time. The Pantone-validated display also offers 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage and support for Dolby Vision. In Malaysia, the Zephyrus M16 comes standard with Intel Core i9-11900H although its RAM and solid state drive capacity are tied to the GPU that the customer prefers. The model with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 6GB graphics is equipped with 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD while the beefier model that features GeForce RTX 3070 8GB graphics has 32GB of RAM and 2TB SSD. Comes complete with six audio speakers and dual force-cancelling woofers, the Zephyrus M16 is also a certified Hi-Res Audio product and supports Dolby Atmos contents. Additionally, ASUS also has equipped the laptop with a keyboard that the company claimed is as quiet as a whisper with a noise level of 30dB while still able to deliver a travel distance of 1.7mm.
Completing the Zephyrus M16’s general specifications is a 90Whr 4-cell battery that offers up to 10 hours of local Full HD video playback. The laptop also has a fast charge feature which allows it to obtain 50% of the battery capacity with just 30 minutes of charging time. In terms of availability, the Zephyrus M16 with GeForce RTX 3060 has landed in Malaysia with a price tag of RM 8,999 while the variant with GeForce RTX 3070 costs RM 11,499 will be on sale in August.
