Evidence of the two brand’s collaboration first cropped up on a product listing of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) belonging to ASUS. Specifically, it is the last time on the goods list that has attracted the interest of many enthusiasts, “RTX3070-8G-NOCTUA”.
— 遠坂小町@Komachi (@KOMACHI_ENSAKA) August 4, 2021 Now, it should be noted that the ASUS and Noctua partnership goes as far back as July last year, which kind of explains why the card in question appears to be just an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070, and presumably not a Ti version of the card. Having said that, when tech site Hwcooling reached out to both companies on the matter, neither party was willing to confirm or deny said partnership. On a related note, it is easy to understand why ASUS would reach out to Noctua to create an entirely new custom cooling solution for its cards. In particular, Noctua’s fans and CPU coolers are renowned for being extremely efficient, while also staying far more silent than its competition.
The only question, of course, if whether ASUS will deck out the Noctua-cooled RTX 3070 with the latter’s signature brown and white colours or simply pull out a veto and use its usual fare of black. (Source: Videocardz // Image: Reddit)
