Specifically, the existing customers with 10Mbps and 20Mbps plan will be upgraded to 30Mbps. Their monthly fee for Internet will also be lowered to RM 89. Customers with 30Mbps line on another hand will also receive the price reduction at the same time but no upgrade will be done on their connection. However, they do have the option to move on to 100Mbps plan which will be offered starting from January 2019. If they choose to pick the 100Mbps option, they will receive a dual-band Wi-Fi router for free. While Astro is not able to confirm the pricing of the 100Mbps plan at the time this article is published, we predict that it is likely to be priced to RM 129 as per standard Maxis Fiber 100Mbps plan. Do note that customers 24-months contract will be renewed if they choose to move to the Astro Maxis IPTV 100Mbps plan. While these speed upgrade and price reduction will only begin from next month onwards, new customers that just signed up from today onwards will also receive them. At this moment, there is no update regarding a similar move for Astro IPTV customers that are on Time Internet even though the ISP has recently delivered a speed and pricing upgrade for general customers.
