For those who are not familiar with Astro Fibre, it is the company’s in-house fibre offering although it does rely on TM’s infrastructure. On the other hand, the previous Astro & Broadband bundles utilised Maxis Fibre and TNB’s Allo broadband services. Available since late last month, consumers can now obtain the Astro Fibre as standalone plans. In other words, one can now choose to omit the Astro Packs from Astro Fibre plans and just subscribe to its broadband service. These plans also have an upload speed of 20Mbps, 50Mbps, 100Mbps, and 200Mbps, respectively. They also come with a fibre modem and Wi-Fi 6 router as the standard equipment set. For Astro Fibre plans with a download speed of 100Mbps and above, they are also accompanied by one Mesh Wi-Fi device that customers can utilise for free for 24 months. As you may expect, the plans also have a 24-month contract attached to them but the contract will not self-renew after the period is over unlike the Astro Fibre Bundle plans. (Source: Astro.)
