And the game really mashes many elements of the three series. From the reveal trailer, we can see that the game has the Ghost Recon’s gunplay and The Division’s skills. And it’s been put together quite well. Then there are the four playable classes, or factions as Ubisoft calls them. The Wolves from Ghost Recon Breakpoint serve as tanks, The Division’s Cleaners and Outcasts are the assault and healer classes respectively....

Toshiba’s departure from the space did not take place overnight though. The transaction that the company announced earlier this month was a continuation of the deal that happened back in June 2018 whereby 80.1% of the company’s PC business arm, Toshiba Client Solutions’ (TCS) shares were acquired by Sharp. As a result of this deal, TCS name was changed to Dynabook which is quite surprising given that it is a brand name that Toshiba has used since 1989....
Email-based threats represent the vast majority (91%) of threats blocked by the firm last year, indicating that phishing attacks continue to be highly popular. In Malaysia, 307 million email threats were detected – the seventh highest figure in Asia and the third highest in Southeast Asia. Trend Micro detected almost 14 million unique phishing URLs in 2020 as attackers went after people working from home. As announced on its blog, Twitter says that it is adding podcasts into its Spaces Tab. This will offer a selection of popular podcasts, the likes from big media companies in the US, like Vox Media, as the example being highlighted. These will even be sorted by themes or genres like News, Music, and Sports, among others. As for what Twitter will serve to you in this tab, the company says that it will start with what it already knows about you....

Matt West, who is the game’s producer, says that it is still very early in development. He also confirmed that it will not be an open-world game, so as to stick to the formula of the original. This new entry into The Division universe is being worked on by Ubisoft’s Red Storm studio. The publisher also says that newcomers to the series will not need to have played the first two games to get into the new one. Though the game will “provide an all new perspective on the universe in a new setting”. The company is also taking in volunteers for its early test phases. The blog post also outlines some of the improvements that you can expect from the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection. As with most PS5 games these days, you get a choice of Fidelity Mode or Performance Mode. The former prioritises 4K resolution at the cost of locking frames to 30fps. The latter does the opposite, locking frames at 60fps at the cost of resolution. Then there’s Performance Plus Mode, locking resolution at Full HD, but gives you 120fps....
Beyond that, the company has not revealed anything new about the upcoming VR title. That being said, this is still the first Half-Life game in over 12 years, with the last being Half-Life 2: Episode 2, featuring Alyx Vance. From its title, the game will presumably have her as the the protagonist. It will also be a prequel of sorts, sitting in between the first Half-Life and Half-Life 2. As of yet, there’s no indication of series main man Gordon Freeman making a return....

Hence, it is not surprising that the new model offers some performance upgrade over its predecessor. As a comparison, the SN550 offers a sequential read speed of up to 2400MB/s while the old model maxed out at 1700MB/s. There is some difference in terms of sequential write speed as well since the SN550 goes up to 1750MB/s as opposed to SN500 that maxed out at 1450MB/s although this improvement only applies to the 500GB models....
For context, the current WD Blue SSD lineup only lists a maximum storage configuration of 2TB, while the lowest configuration is capped at 250GB. The lineup uses a TLC 3D NAND flash, along with a Marvell 88SS1074 controller. Speed-wise, you’re looking at a sequential read and write speed of up to 560MB/s and 532MB/s, respectively. As you would expect, owning an SSD with a 4TB storage capacity isn’t going to be cheap....
For those worried about privacy, transcription will apparently happen locally on your iPhone instead of going through WhatsApp or Facebook servers. In turn, the service will help Apple to improve its speech recognition technology, and WABetaInfo claims that your identity won’t be linked to the data. Transcription will reportedly be done manually for each voice message instead of automatic, and you’ll have to give WhatsApp special permission to access your iPhone’s speech recognition....
WABetaInfo reports that WhatsApp is working on giving voice messages three different playback speeds. The speeds will be indicated just below the sender’s profile picture accompanying the voice message. You have the default 1.0x speed, and you can speed things up to 1.5x or 2.0x. Oddly enough, WABetaInfo also mentions that WhatsApp “would also support lower playback speeds, but they won’t be released for the public because they make less sense”....
The Verge reports that Will Cathcart, the head of WhatsApp, says that the company would love to make a version of the app for the iPad. He also says that it has been something that’s been requested for a long time. No surprise there, as various iterations of the iPad have had a SIM slot, and as a result, support for mobile data. Cathcart adds that the rollout of the multi-device support for WhatsApp will be the key for an iPad version of the app to work....
