If you’re familiar with last year’s 10T Pro, it’s pretty much the same story as this year’s entry, barring the expected incremental upgrades. But if you’re not, then here’s a fresh look at this year’s Xiaomi flagship smartphone. Specifications The Xiaomi 11T Pro comes with all the parts, bells and whistles that you’d expect from a flagship device. So nothing really stands out here, except maybe the price which, again, is not exactly new either....

The new Xiaomi Civi 2 sports a 6.55-inch 10-bit display panel with FHD+ resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, and 240 Hz touch sampling rate. Additionally, it also comes with Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support, as well as featuring full DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage. On the screen itself is a pill-shaped cutout featuring the aforementioned dual 32 MP front-facing cameras (a primary with autofocus and f/2.0 aperture, and an ultra-wide shooter with 100-degree FOV)....

But first, lets look at what they have in common. The Mi Note 10 comes with a 6.47-inch Full HD+ display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset, and a massive 5260mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging. Both also come with five cameras at the rear, featuring the 108MP sensor with OIS. The other cameras include a 12MP telephoto lens, another 5MP telephoto camera, but with OIS, a 20MP wide-angle shooter and a 2MPmacro camera....

Those with a Xiaomi 11T, 11T Pro, and 11 Lite 5G NE can get a three-month subscription to the service although the 11T and 11T Pro must have been activated on or after 1 December 2021 to be eligible. The newly launched Redmi Note 11 series users are also entitled to the promotion, but will only be getting two months. To activate it, open up the preloaded YouTube app on an eligible Xiaomi phone and follow the on-screen instructions or visit the Premium section on YouTube’s website....

The pre-installed app is called Guard Provider, and contains anti-virus scanners from Avast, AVL and Tencent that serve to detect potential malware. The security flaw found by the researchers lies within the app’s update mechanism. According to Check Point Research, the security app receives updates through an unsecured HTTP connection. Attackers could take advantage of the Avast Update APK to insert the malware via a man-in-the-middle (MITM) attack. However, the attackers will need to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the targeted Xiaomi device....
