According to Kuo, the new iPhone 11 will be using “frosted glass casing” instead of a glass panel that was used in previous models. The casing design would be interesting, considering the design of the Pixel 3’s matte and glass combination, having an iPhone with the same design language would be a refreshing change from the iPhone’s current all-glass back design. Throughout the years, the iPhone has undergone several changes and materials in its design....

This is reflected in a recently updated support document, as spotted by MacRumors. Apple says the iPhone 12 mini can achieve its 12W charge speeds via MagSafe with a USB-C charging adapter that is at 9V/2.03A or higher. The others get their 15W power delivery via charging adapters that are at 9V/2.22A, 9V/2.556A or higher. The support document also notes that if there’s any accessories plugged into the Lightning port, charging slows down even further to 7....

Through the upcoming iTunes Movies and TV Shows app, users are able to access their iTunes library as well as purchase or rent movies and TV episodes from iTunes Store directly from their Samsung Smart TVs. To be available in more than 100 countries, Samsung also stated that the app will be able to work hand in hand with its Smart TV Service including Universal Guide, New Bixby, and Search....

Specs-wise, the Radeon Pro 5600M comes packed with 40 Compute Units (CUs) and 160 Texture Units. Additionally, it houses 8GB of HBM2 graphics memory, spread across a 2048-bit memory bus. Last month, we saw reports that claim that Apple will be launching new MacBook Pro laptops with updated innards in early 2023. These were said to be specifically the 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro models. It looks like the reveal may happen as soon as this week, with an announcement happening tomorrow, at least to members of the press. A number of news outlets, including 9to5Mac and MacRumors, have received word that Apple will be holding a Mac-related press briefing this week....

9to5Mac reports that Apple is conducting surveys regarding the iPhones’ Face ID user experience. These are pretty innocuous, but it does somewhat reinforce rumours from 2019 that the next iPhones will come with both Face ID and Touch ID. But alongside those are questions about the USB cable and the SIM eject tool that come in the box. For something that’s used so frequently, Apple not including a USB-C to Lightning cable sounds like a bad idea....

There are three new Magic Keyboard models available. The first features both Touch ID and a numeric keypad, while the second and third models are tenkeyless keyboards – with the former also featuring Touch ID capability. However, it is worth noting that the Touch ID features (mainly the biometric sensor) is only compatible with M1-equipped Apple devices, namely the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Mac Mini, and iMac. Next up is the updated Magic Trackpad, which now comes with rounded corners that matches the aforementioned keyboards – thus offering a more uniformed look across the board....

The direct streaming feature for the Spotify app on Apple Watch had actually been discovered back in September. Soon after, the company had begun to quietly roll out the feature to users with many of them began to see it on their Apple Watch earlier this week. In general, there is nothing that users need to do to obtain this functionality on their Apple Watch aside from waiting for it to show up on their device and provided that they are also Spotify Premium users....

To quickly recap, the latest series of the Apple Watch comes with an always-on Retina display. The display itself is capable of switching its framerate from the usual 60Hz all the way down to 1Hz.
